Director Louis Leterrier has made some comments to Empire about the next Fast and Furious chapter, and it looks like Jason Momoa's Dante Reyes' character will evolve and transformed to an even better villain. What I am not clear yet is the fact if Dante's character will be renewed for Fast X "Hobbs and Reyes" or in "Vin Diesel's Fast X part 3" where Dante will face Dom Toretto again.
Louis Leterrier recently revealed that he is going to change Jason Momoa’s character in the next Fast & Furious movie. Leterrier mentioned that Dante is going to evolve in some way. After his introduction to the movie, it became obvious that something new is going to happen to the main plot. In a new interview with Empire, Louis Leterrier hints at a new direction for Momoa's villain.
“He was fueled by vengeance. He could have played it dark, angry. But it was interesting to play with the duality and the push-pull within the character, where within the same sentence he’s laughing and feels the pain of losing everything,” he said in the interview.
Dante Reyes' egocentric and complicated personality is one of the best villains that Fast and Furious had until now, also the fan's favorite. As Louis Leterrier mentioned, "nobody else but Momoa could have made Dante such a complex character".
After reading Louis Leterrier's interview and thinking about the complicated mental drift that Dante Reyes displayed during the plot of Fast X, it doesn't surprise me that the director is thinking about the evolution of Dante's character. Considering that all of Dante's revenge plans are failing one after another and Dom and his team are moving on, I assumed that Dante's frustration will only increase until his drive reaches the top and his ego takes over and explode into a total chaos. Let's wait and see if the planned evolution of Jason Momoa's character would raise the bar that his excellent interpretation already set high in Fast X part one.

The tenth sequel in the Fast and Furious franchise opened in May to decidedly mixed reviews and while it topped the box office on its opening weekend with over $67 million, it made the majority of its $700-plus million internationally.
