Fast X Part 2 or how is being called Fast and Furious 11 is facing a release date delay to Summer 2026 due to strikes, director Louis Leterrier has confirmed that the last instalment of the saga will not be hitting its April 4, 2025, date.
I believe that this Vin Diesel Fast X Part 2 Release Delay to Summer 2026 will also give a larger window to include in the saga the spinoff dedicated to Hobbs and Reyes.
The final sequel in the long running franchise is set to begin filming early next year.
The family will be back for the final time, and it'll be sooner than we think. During a recent panel at Steve Weintraub, director Louis Leterrier, who did a fine job, directing Fast X — which went on to earn over $700 million at the global box office — has provided updates on the production timeline for the final movie in the Fast & Furious franchise. Leterrier, who is currently about to take the helm on another film project, shared his upcoming schedule with the audience, indicating a busy year ahead.
"It's happening. It's happening very, very soon. I'm able to shoot a little horror movie this summer . I'm finishing my horror movie on September 15th, and I start Fast on September 16th."
The discussion further addressed recent comments made by Tyrese Gibson regarding the start of filming, which he suggested would occur early next year. Leterrier confirmed this timeline and winkingly advised the audience, "Tyrese is always right. Watch his Instagram!" It seems the Fast & Furious crew is gearing up to put the pedal to the metal once more, as the Toretto clan prepare to say goodbye.
In regards this Vin Diesel Fast X Part 2 Release Delay to Summer 2026
As is usually said, "every action has a reaction", so on one hand the delay of Fast X part 2 is a little overwhelming for the fan-base because it keeps prolonging the last chapter of our beloved saga. On the other hand, the good news is that due to Fast X 2's release date delay will bring happiness to Riddick's fans and followers taking in consideration that Vin Diesel had time to include in the middle of the making of "Riddick 4 - Furya" which Vin announces in the below post to Instagram on May 4, 2024.
"It is an animal thing..."
Riddick: Furya, which was announced in February 2023, is now moving full steam ahead toward an August 26, 2024 shoot date, producers announced Monday. Diesel stars and produces the film, which reteams him with David Twohy, the filmmaker who has directed all of the franchise’s previous entries. Furya will film in locales such as Germany, Spain, and the U.K.
‘Riddick: Furya’ Sets Production Start Date As Rocket Science Locks In Pic’s International Distribution
Vin Diesel is set to enter production on Riddick: Furya, the anticipated fourth installment of the Riddick franchise, on August 26.
Shooting in Germany, Spain and the U.K., this follow-up to the sci-fi films Pitch Black (2000), The Chronicles of Riddick (2004) and Riddick (2013) reunites Diesel with writer-director David Twohy. Diesel reprises his role as the anti-hero Richard B. Riddick, a dangerous escaped convict wanted by every bounty hunter in the galaxy.
In Riddick: Furya, Riddick finally returns to his home world, a place he barely remembers and one he fears might be left in ruins. But there he finds other Furyans fighting for their existence against a new monster. And some of these Furyans are more like Riddick than he could have ever imagined.
Diesel will produce for One Race Films, alongside Samantha Vincent. Thorsten Schumacher for Rocket Science and Lars Sylvest for Thank You Studios will also produce alongside Joe Neurauter. Rocket Science repped international rights and has completed worldwide cornerstone pre-sales to the UK (yet to be announced), France (Metropolitan), Germany (Leonine), Spain and Latin America (Sun), Benelux (The Searchers), Poland (Kinoswiat), Canada (Elevation), Scandinavia (Scanbox), Portugal (Lusomundo), Switzerland (Ascot Elite), South Africa (Empire), Greece (Femeway), the Middle East (Front Row), CIS and Baltic States, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Czech/Slovak, Republic Former Yugoslavia (ProRom), and Thailand (Sahamongkhol). CAA Media Finance is representing the film’s North American rights.
Most recently producing and starring in Fast X, which grossed over $704M worldwide, Diesel has also in recent years been heard voicing Groot in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise and other Marvel projects.
Previously writing and directing all three Riddick films, Twohy is also known for his writing of the Harrison Ford starrer The Fugitive. Also the writer-director of the alien horror pic The Arrival and supernatural thriller Below, he most recently penned the financial thriller Big Dogs, to be directed by Ridley Scott.
At Cannes, Rocket Science’s slate also includes Ali Abbasi’s Competition entry The Apprentice starring Sebastian Stan, Jeremy Strong and Maria Bakalova; Michael Gracey’s Better Man; Alex Winter’s Adulthood starring Josh Gad, Kaya Scodelario and Anthony Carrigan; Peter Cataneo’s The Penguin Lessons starring Steve Coogan; and Louis Leterrier’s 11817.
