Vin Diesel's Fast X part 2, the finale to the main plot of the Fast and Furious saga, was originally scheduled to be released to theatres in May 2024, exactly one year after the release of Fast X part one. A few days ago, Vin Diesel published on social media a Fast X2's new release day scheduled as April 4, 2025, two years from the first part to allow a standalone Hobbs' movie in the middle. According to the latest news the film that is coming up as a bridge between Fats X part one and Fast X part two it is no other than a Hobbs' film with the working title: "Fast and Furious Hobbs and Reyes", according to Production Weekly, is already in the making process with Dwayne Johnson and his Seven Bucks Productions.
As a die-hard Fast and Furious fan since 2001, I can't help but wonder why we need another movie in the middle of the big Fast and Furious finale. I mean, what's the point of having a Hobbs vs Reyes movie alone? Is it just to see Dwayne Johnson and Jason Momoa face off and blow up more cars? Don't get me wrong, I love a good action scene as much as the next person, but “a scene” inside the original plot, not another movie repeating what we already saw, at this point the fans need closure! We need to know how this whole Dante Reyes' thing ends because we all follow Dominic Toretto's adventures with his team from the beginning. As far as I know Dante can't be eliminated by Hobbs without Dom Toretto being around, right? Witch minds that "Hobbs and Dante" film will be finishing on a massive cliffhanger and "To be continued" waiting for Fast X2 in 2025, so again! What's the point of this deviation adding this bridge? Honestly. looks to me that Dwayne Johnson keeps trying to set-up his character Luck Hobbs as a protagonist in the Fast and Furious franchise without taking into consideration that Dom Toretto's fanbase accepted his character Luck Hobbs as an important character part of the whole team following or accompanying "DOMINIC TORETTO" the protagonist of the whole plot. Anyways Dwayne Johnson is already filming Hobbs' return for the next chapter of the Fast and Furious saga.
In another note, going back to the main plot, Fast X2 and having in account and under consideration that the cast has a large group of professional fighters and keeping in mind the history of the saga, it is possible that Fast X2 will bring back some of those legendary fights between character that we are used to.

As we wait for Fast X 2, we can only imagine what new twists and turns await us. For example, in the plane with Tyrese, Han, Ransey and TJ are two cars in the cargo area, I am more than sure that the team is going to come down the plane inside those cars as they did in Furious 7 and at the same time help Dom and little B to escape from Dante's bomb. One thing is for sure, Vin Diesel's Fast X has left us on the edge of our seats.

I’m excited as well but I also agree…why do we need a spin off with Dewayne Johnson?….Don’t get me wrong, I like Dewayne it just…THIS IS NOT HIS FRANCHISE!! We follow Dom and his family and always has!!! Stop trying to outshine the main characters since DAY 1.
